The Obligatory House Tour
In my opinion every home blogger needs to give the tour of their house. Kind of an "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" thing. So here you go! All of the individual posts about our house assembled into one spot so that you can take the grand tour. I will add more rooms to the tour as they become blog-worthy. This house was built in 1996. Parts of it were updated by the previous owners but some parts of it are still covered in pink and green flower-dy wallpaper borders. Those rooms are not on the blog yet. One day I'll get around to it and show you guys some before and afters. Right now they are just befores. If anyone cares to see those I'll be happy to email you. :)
We bought our home in 2010 and have been slowly working on getting it decorated. I'm trying to remember that interior design is a marathon, not a sprint. We hope to live here forever, so I'm trying to make conscious decisions about what to change instead of jumping on the latest trends that I might regret later. I know that it's impossible to not have trendy things since the idea of what's in style changes so fast.

Thanks for the tour! I am impressed that your sunroom doesn't look like ours (it has a ping pong table, air hockey and darts!!!) I keep telling myself that is the season of life we are in....one day it will be a cozy place to spend an afternoon.

And I agree w/ InspireMeHeather - I still think that the photo of Garret's room is really just an ad from a home magazine because it's that fantastic! You really do have a wonderful eye for design and for making a home so beautiful and elegant yet cozy and warm - that's definitely not an easy feat. Come do my house now!
@Bella Michelle- My sunroom is way too small for any of that fun stuff! I already have a foozball coffee table sitting in my basement. The boy toy takeover is already happening around here.
@Heather & Nat- Thanks so much! Garrett's room gets more natural light than other parts of the house so that definitely helps with the picture taking!

Clearly I need a post like this one with the entire tour. Mine are all spread out by room. I LOVE looking at other people's houses! Yours is gorgeous and I would KILL to have a sunroom!!!! Your home is just so lovely! You have done a wonderful job decorating it in actually a short amount of time...you just moved in in 2010?! Maybe one day I will do a home tour...IF I can get the whole house cleaned up at one time.
